We’re looking for a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our remote accounting team. From daily account balancing and journal entries to wire approvals and monthly reconciliations, this role is a unique blend of technical expertise, bank acumen, analytical thinking, and reporting—perfect for someone who loves solving financial puzzles and making a difference. What You’ll be driving as a Staff Accountant

• Detail focused day-to-day - You will efficiently manage daily tasks like balancing of correspondent and key general ledger accounts, journal entries and cash position to help determine and manage borrowing needs. As needed you will also act as a backup for the Accounts Payable functions, where you will review, match and pay approved invoices.
• Balance Sheets, Accounts and Wires - You will support operations by reviewing and approving international wires, and assisting with domestic wires as needed. You will also reconcile all balance sheet and internal DDA accounts monthly.
• Reporting - You consistently keep leadership informed by creating and distributing the Daily Financial Overview Report and help drive strategic decisions by preparing and sharing monthly management reports.
• Audit Readiness - You diligently follow departmental processes and procedures and maintain required documentation and reporting without fail. As needed, you efficiently support internal and external audits by gathering essential documentation and liaising with other departments.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience and Education - This isn’t your first rodeo in accounting. You know GAAP and other accounting principles like the back of your hand and have 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience to prove it. Your experience is founded on technical knowledge, preferably through a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and formal training.
• Entrepreneurial Self-Starter Mentality - You love taking charge of your work product and take great pride in delivering consistently great results. A high-pace and high-expectation environment excites you and you can’t wait to push yourself to new professional heights in a company that rewards high performance.

• Banking Acumen - You understand banking, banking processes and banking accounting principles deeply. You are also a compliance wiz, have excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements — and you’re ready to put that knowledge to work.

• Organization & Efficiency Guru Status - You manage your time like a pro, stay focused under pressure, and keep your workflow humming. You love putting your head down and getting into the groove but also appreciate changing routines. You’re a master note-taker and checklist fanatic and consider “dropped balls” a four-letter word.
